Bologna

Nest of culture, industry, gastronomy and tradition, Bologna arises between the Po river and the Apennine mountains. Hosting the oldest university of the world (founded in 1088), and many medieval, renaissance and baroque monuments, it is considered one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe.
Following the roman urban scheme, it expands beyond the medieval ramparts with its typical red roofs that have given her the name of “La rossa”.
Its location in the Po valley allowed the development of a culinary tradition with its famous Bolognese sauce, excellent meet, cheeses and some of the best wines of Italy.
Bologna has also an industrial tradition with important companies such as Lamborghini and Maserati, and its fair is one of the largest in Italy.
