On the edge of a booming industrial area, Mantova rises in the natural haven located in-between three lakes and next to the Mincio River Park, a natural protected area. Its superb architecture witnesses of its rich history, particularly in its city-centre, around its four cobbled squares connected by a web of narrow streets. Since its golden age during the Renaissance, it was named “the Glorious” and provides now a wide variety of palaces, museums and art galleries. Birthplace of Virgilius, Mantova hosts every year the literature festival.
