Short break proposal in North-Western Sicily, focused on gastronomy and archeology

Program will feature:

  • Private transfer from Trapani airport to hotel and vice versa, with assistant
  • 3 overnights in hotel in Trapani
  • 1 full day excursion to Marsala and Trapani Salt Flats

Excursion to Marsala and Salt Flats: in the first part of the excursion visit to the World Wildlife Fund base that manages the Trapani and Paceco Salt Flats Nature Reserve. Visit to the “Salt Museum” that has been set up in a 300-year-old salt-working house to illustrate the various phases of the working of the salt.
After lunch, visit and tasting in an historical wine cellar in Marsala, renowned for the homonymous  fortified wine.

  • 1 full day excursion to Segesta with oil tasting

Excursion to Segesta and oil tasting: a visit to Segesta will allow guests to go back in time to the periodo of Greek colonization in Sicily. Visit the massive Doric-style Temple from the 5th century B.C. and the ancient Theater: both are on two separate hills. The views from the hilltops on the surrounding countryside is fabulous. Then continuation to an olive oil and farmhouse to enjoy a light-lunch and Sicilian olive oil tasting.
